The Association is a multidisciplinary group of healthcare and OHS professions aimed at sharing ideas and prompting continuous improvement in the systems, training, equipment and assistive devices available to safely move and handle people in the health and community services environments. The theme of the 2018 Conference continues to build on these areas and incorporates three pillars:
      • Predictions
      • People
      • Preventions
For ideas / information on the 3 P’s refer to http://www.aamhp.org.au

The Association would also like to extend the abstract call to incorporate the full range of the Health and wellbeing programs in hospitals, schools, community, Emergency services, aviation, funeral and other organisations involved in working with people and materials. This conference wishes to widen the scope of workplace health and safety in a holistic approach to injury prevention, and not only that which relates to people handling as has been the flavour of the past. Many of us work in multidisciplinary roles of MSD and WHS prevention, hence a wider viewpoint is paramount.
