You may have received some random messages from the website recently, these were mistakenly sent by our website provider during the course of trying to update the website. Please excuse and bear with! They didn’t know testing the upgrade would result in that and mailed me as below. Hopefully the glitches will be ironed out soon and we will have a much more accessible forum.
‘Upon investigation, we gained a deeper understanding of how members got a test email from our development server. All the customisation we do is done on our development servers. It gives us a controlled environment where we can test new features before we put them in production. What happened here? We created a “Zeald Test” topic with our test account “Zeald Test” on the development site (copy of your live site). One of the plugins on your site has a setting to notify all members when a new topic is created. This is not the default behaviour of the bbpress forum and we had no knowledge about the plugin that created the notification. This also came as a surprise to us. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and are looking forward to completing this customisation shortly.’
